Nominations are being accepted for University Safety Award
In 1997, the University Loss Prevention Committee awarded the first University Safety Award. The University Safety Award is intended to recognize the contributions and/or exceptional efforts of University departments or groups in the areas of minimizing or reducing the causes of personal injury and loss or damage to University property (i.e., safety and loss prevention). Our goal is to recognize and encourage efforts to promote and enhance safety and loss prevention within the University environment.
Past University Safety Award Winners include:
- Student Center Operations;
- David Adamany Undergraduate Library;
- Community Oriented Policing Section;
- Science Support Services;
- Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) Safety Team;
- Scott Hall Facilities and Support Services;
- Oakland Center;
- Transportation Research Group;
- Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and health Sciences;
- Smart Sensors and Integrated Microsystems;
- Department of Music
A luncheon will be provided to present a plaque to honor the awardees' contribution to safety and loss prevention at Wayne State University. Individual employees within the department or groups will be awarded beverage mugs.
